Millennium Resorts and the US hotel chain Marriott International inked a cooperation agreement on the construction of a hotel complex in Vranjska Banja. Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and US Ambassador Anthony Godfrey also attended the signing of the agreement.
Partnership between Millennium Resorts and the US-based Marriott International began with the signing of a contract for the construction of a hotel complex in Vranjska Banja. Stojan Vujko, co-founder and co-CEO of Millennium Team, said that the company would invest EUR 90 mn into the project and that 350 jobs would be created.
„This project has a great impact on direct development of Vranjska Banja, Vranje and the entire region. Millennium Team is a company that sets new standards and we are sure that, after this project, Serbia will become a popular destination for first-class spa tourism. We are sure that we will be the best in this field, just as Serbia takes a leading position in many fields today“, said Stojan Vujko, Millennium Team co-CEO.
Ivan Bošnjak, co-founder and co-CEO of Millennium Team, said that the complex will have two Marriott hotels, as well as a Sofka medical centre, and spa apartments, villas and bungalows are also included in the plan. He added that the project could not be realised without the understanding of national authorities and the local self-government.
„By investing in Marriott hotels, we will become one of the largest employers in south Serbia. Such a project could not succeed without the understanding and support of national authorities and the local self-government. We will repay the support that we’ve had so far by investing, building a state-of-the-art hotel complex, creating new jobs, cooperating with the local self-government and conducting CSR activities that our company is known for, and which we will further discuss in the future“, said Ivan Bošnjak, Millennium Resorts CEO and co-founder and co-CEO of Millennium Team.
