Institute for Early Child Development and Inclusion

Preparation of technical documentation and construction of the Institute for Early Child Development and Inclusion

Millennium Team, in consortium with Jadran d.o.o. and Telesec d.o.o., took part in the construction of the Institute for Early Child Development and Inclusion in Belgrade’s Bežanijska Kosa neighborhood.

The modern complex covers a 2.1-hectare site and encompasses 17,718 square meters, of which 17,256 belong to the main building and 316 to a bungalow facility with six residential units. A 146-square-meter stable was also built to house animals for hippotherapy. The main building includes a therapeutic block with a swimming pool, a diagnostic block equipped with assistive technologies, and a research center with meeting rooms and facilities for associations dedicated to early childhood development. Additional features include administrative offices, two apartments for visiting professors, and an underground garage with 120 parking spaces.

The complex was designed and built to meet the highest green building standards. More than 70 percent of outdoor surfaces, including the main building’s roof, are landscaped with greenery.

The facility operates with a fully autonomous heating, cooling, and ventilation system. It is powered by 90 geothermal probes reaching a depth of 130 meters, as well as a 300 kWh solar plant. Construction required more than 13,000 cubic meters of concrete, 1,450 tons of reinforcement steel, and about 9,000 square meters of prefabricated panels.
