Representatives of Millennium Team’s Demining Sector participated in the NATO EOD Demonstrations and Trials 2025 conference held in Bratislava. This prestigious event gathered more than 50 exhibitors and over 500 participants from around the world, many of whom showed great interest in our company’s projects.
Particular attention was drawn to the project “Removal of the Sunken German Fleet from World War II in the Danube near Prahovo,” which is being implemented by our company. Srđan Popadić, Project Manager, delivered a presentation on the ongoing works in Prahovo as part of the conference’s main program. The event was also attended by Vuk Radović, Director of Demining Sector, and Đorđe Krunić, Head of Operations within the sector.
During the two-day event, held on October 8 and 9, manufacturers of demining equipment from all over the world showcased their latest technologies. The conference also hosted representatives of the armed forces of numerous countries, universities, and organizations from a total of 28 nations.
The focus of the conference was on a comprehensive approach to demining – on land, in water, and in the air – including presentations utilizing virtual reality technologies.
Millennium Team presented its activities within the exhibition of companies and organizations, where visitors had the opportunity to learn more about our field operations.
The event also featured live demonstrations, where manufacturers and distributors showcased their equipment in simulated and real demining scenarios.
Key topics included the use of VR technologies in training, identification and removal of improvised explosive devices, simulation of complex operational scenarios, and analysis of lessons learned from ongoing global conflicts.
Special emphasis was placed on the need to adapt technological solutions to new security challenges, such as underwater operations, integration of equipment across multiple domains – land, air, water, and cyber – and the use of 3D printing for rapid preparation of field equipment.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for Millennium Team’s Demining Sector representatives to exchange experiences with experts from different countries and to explore new equipment from leading global manufacturers.
