Millennium Team Deputy CEO Ivan Bošnjak and Leskovac Mayor Goran Cvetanović have signed an agreement under which our company has become the majority owner of GFK Dubočica, a football club from Leskovac. Millennium Team has acquired a 70% ownership stake.

Ivan Bošnjak stated that the company had recognised Leskovac as a region with significant potential, particularly in developing young football talent.

“We recognised that this region has exceptional potential in terms of young players. What the club has been lacking is strong corporate governance. Our goal is to introduce sound management practices, stabilise the club’s operations through investment, establish financial discipline and do everything we can to help Dubočica become a successful football club,” said Bošnjak.

He added that Millennium Team had already provided financial support through loans, which served as a temporary legal arrangement until the agreement was signed, while future investments will be made through capital contributions.

Mayor Goran Cvetanović noted that, in previous years, the club had not been managed in a way that could ensure financial stability and sustainable long-term development.

“Over the past several years, the club has not been managed in a way that could ensure financial discipline and sustainable long-term development. This is the result of a governance model that failed to deliver the desired results, which is precisely why we are demonstrating responsibility today,” Cvetanović said.

According to the Mayor, through this partnership, the City of Leskovac has gained a committed strategic partner dedicated to supporting the recovery and future development of GFK Dubočica.

Following the signing ceremony, Bošnjak and Cvetanović visited the vineyard of Alea Consulting, a member of the Millennium Team Group. Representatives of the local government praised the investment as an important step towards strengthening the local economy and supporting the city’s development.
