Representatives of Millennium Team presented the company’s capabilities at the Carpathian Economic Forum, held in Bukovel, Ukraine, on September 18 and 19. The Forum was held as part of the first “Carpathian Eight” (C8) Summit, a new regional format bringing together countries from Central and Eastern Europe, which was also attended by President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
Millennium Team was represented by Vuk Radović, Director of the Demining Sector, and Đorđe Krunić, Head of Operations in the Sector. They were part of the Serbian business delegation led by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, which also included representatives of the Development Agency of Serbia and EXPO 2027 Belgrade.
“Participation in the Carpathian Economic Forum was an excellent opportunity to present Millennium Team and the major infrastructure projects we are implementing. At the same time, we had the opportunity to meet potential partners from the countries of the Carpathian region, exchange experiences and initiate discussions on opportunities for future cooperation on specific projects. I believe that the contacts we established during the Forum will provide a solid foundation for new partnerships,” said Vuk Radović.
The Forum brought together representatives of governments, institutions and companies from across the region, focusing on opportunities to enhance economic cooperation, investment and market connectivity. Discussions covered energy, infrastructure, industry and manufacturing, transport and logistics, tourism and other areas of importance for regional development.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Serbian stand during the opening of the Forum, where he met with representatives of Serbia. The economic segment of the event included discussions on opportunities for developing regional cooperation.
The Carpathian Economic Forum, held as part of the “Carpathian Eight” Summit, brought together Ukraine, Serbia, Romania, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary, with the participation of representatives of the European Union. The broader objective of the new format is to enhance regional cooperation and connect countries through joint projects in infrastructure, energy, trade and investment.
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, who participated in the working sessions of the Forum and met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, highlighted the importance of cooperation among the countries of the region, noting that the Carpathian Initiative represents an opportunity for Serbia to open up new avenues for cooperation and connectivity with countries in this part of Europe. He emphasized that energy, roads, railways and other infrastructure projects are of great importance to all countries in the region, and that Serbia’s trade with Ukraine had increased by 42 percent.
During the two-day event, an investment portfolio comprising nearly 100 projects with a total value exceeding EUR 40 billion was presented, while investment, financial and trade agreements worth more than EUR 1 billion were concluded during the Summit. The event was attended by nearly 1,400 participants from 25 countries, including representatives of around 500 companies.
