Millennium Team Signs Sponsorship Agreement with the European Judo Union

European Judo Competitions to Be Held Under the Millennium Team Name

Continuing its successful partnership with the European Judo Union (EJU), Millennium Team has once again signed a sponsorship agreement, reaffirming its commitment to the development of European judo. The agreement was officially signed at a ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade by László Tóth, President of the EJU; Ivan Todorov, Vice President of the EJU and President of the Serbian Judo Federation; and Stojan Vujko, CEO of Millennium Team.

For the first time in the 75-year history of the European Judo Union, competitions have been named after a title sponsor. Accordingly, in 2026—as in the previous year—all competitions within the European Cadet Judo Tour will officially carry the Millennium Team name.

Representatives of the European Judo Union emphasized that Millennium Team is one of the organization’s key partners, noting that this collaboration stands as a strong example of how companies outside the traditional sports industry can make a meaningful and lasting contribution to the development of sport.

Stojan Vujko, who is also a member of the EJU Advisory Board, highlighted that the company’s primary objective is to support the long-term and sustainable development of European judo.

“Although we operate in the construction sector, the connection with judo is clear. In both sport and business, success is achieved through hard work, discipline, and belief. These are values we actively support and aim to continue promoting together with the European Judo Union. Our business requires long-term vision, precision, responsibility, and strong teamwork—values that also define elite sport. This is why our support for judo comes naturally. In top athletes, we recognize the same dedication, discipline, and pursuit of excellence that guide our own work. We are particularly proud of Millennium Team’s support for the European Cadet Judo Tour. By enabling the organization of these competitions, we provide young athletes with the opportunity to compete, gain valuable experience, and develop at an international level. For us, this represents an important way of giving back to the community,” said Vujko.

EJU President László Tóth expressed his gratitude to all sponsors for a year of exceptionally successful cooperation, noting that this annual gathering has become a long-standing tradition.

“Together with its partners, the European Judo Union forms a large and united judo family, brought together by a shared goal—the development and promotion of judo across Europe and beyond its borders. The support of all sponsors is vital to achieving this mission, and the success of the EJU is our collective success,” said Tóth, adding: “Judo represents far more than a sport. We educate children, young athletes, and elite competitors to become champions in life, and this is only possible through partnership and joint effort.”

Serbian Judo Federation Awards

On the same day, January 20, at the same venue—the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade—a gala evening organized by the Serbian Judo Federation was held. Millennium Team is a long-standing supporter of the Federation’s work. During the event, awards were presented for outstanding achievements in 2024 and 2025, along with lifetime achievement recognitions.

Addressing the audience, Stojan Vujko, who also serves as Vice President of the Serbian Judo Federation, stated:

“Our goal is to win an Olympic medal in Los Angeles—the first in the history of Serbia. Naturally, the road to achieving this goal is long and demanding. The next major milestone ahead of us, already in April, is the European Championship in Tbilisi, Georgia.”

A Tradition of Supporting Judo

Since its founding, Millennium Team has actively supported the communities in which it operates, with a strong focus on initiatives that promote sport and youth development. The company’s commitment to judo extends well beyond this European partnership. For many years, Millennium Team has supported the judo community in Serbia through its continued backing of the Serbian Judo Federation and as the general sponsor of Judo Club Crvena zvezda, whose athletes achieve outstanding results at both national and international levels.

Millennium Team has been an official sponsor of the European Judo Union since 2025.
