DIRECTOR IVAN BOŠNJAK MET WITH MEMBERS OF THE U.S. CONGRESS AND THE AMERICAN BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN WASHINGTON

Serbia – a reliable partner in new technologies, economy, and security

Deputy General Director of Millennium Team and Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Ivan Bošnjak, participated in the annual conference of AIPAC, held on February 23–24 in Washington, D.C., where he had a series of significant meetings with representatives of the U.S. administration, Congress, and the business community.

During his stay in Washington, Bošnjak, together with Vladimir Marinković, President of the Serbian-American Friendship Congress, met with Steven Schneider, AIPAC’s Vice President for International Affairs, to discuss opportunities for strengthening trilateral cooperation between Serbia, the United States, and Israel, with a special focus on the exchange of knowledge and experience in modern security systems and technological innovation.

AIPAC is one of the most influential platforms in the United States for political dialogue, security, and international cooperation. The conference provided an opportunity to further enhance Serbia’s relations with the United States and Israel, as well as to network with key political and business stakeholders. The annual gathering was attended by dozens of members of the U.S. Congress and Senate, representatives of the U.S. administration, and leaders from the business sector. The event brought together prominent political and business figures from across the United States with the aim of strengthening political dialogue, security cooperation, and international relations with the U.S. and Israel.

Special attention at the conference was devoted to the development of advanced defense technologies, including the presentation of the “Iron Beam” system, opening space for discussions on potential models of cooperation and knowledge transfer.

During the meetings, the importance of enhancing trilateral cooperation between Serbia, the United States, and Israel was emphasized in the areas of defense, new technologies, artificial intelligence, energy, economy, and innovation. It was also highlighted that Serbia has the capacity to be a reliable partner to the world’s most developed countries, supported by the strong international relationships built by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, with key global stakeholders.

Bošnjak also met with Nicholas Rode, Vice President of the American Business Council for Central and Eastern Europe, where discussions focused on organizing direct meetings between Serbian and U.S. business representatives, as well as a planned visit of an American delegation to Serbia in the first half of the year, aimed at strengthening investment and trade cooperation.
