Westin Hotel will be one of the most modern hotels in Serbia

Vranjska Banja will get two new hotels, Westin and Autograph Collection, part of the USA-based Marriott hotel chain, which will be built by Millennium Resorts, and it will also be Marriott International’s largest project in the Balkans, and Millennium Resorts’ biggest investment in tourism.

In the current phase of works, rocks are being removed and the area is being prepared for construction work at the location where Westin Hotel will be, and the plan is for the hotel to open its doors in 2023.

Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić, during her visit to the Pčinja District, also visited Vranjska Banja, toured the construction site and learned about the future plan for the construction of the hotel and finalisation of Millennium Resorts’ project in Banja.

“This Millennium Resorts’ project is of strategic and capital importance not just for Vranjska Banja, but for the entire tourism sector of Serbia. We will have a complex such as this for the first time in Serbia, which will represent a turning point for Serbian tourism,” Prime Minister Ana Brnabić said.

“Westin Hotel will be one of the most modern hotels in Serbia, when it comes to content and all the other things it will offer, together with the world’s biggest hotel chain, Marriott, it will be something special in Vranjska Banja and Serbia,” said Nikola Avram, founder and CEO of Alpha Hotel Management.

Westin Hotel, which represents the first phase of the project, will have an area of 40,000 square metres, with 190 rooms and suites, convention centre which will have a capacity for 600 guests, and will include a 4,000-square-metre spa centre.

Both hotels, the 4-star Westin Hotel and the 5-star Autograph collection, will be part of a major hotel complex that will also include the Sofka medical centre, and the value of the entire Millennium Resorts’ investment will amount to EUR 90 million. With this investment, Millennium Resorts invests in further development of Serbia’s economy and tourism sector, with the goal of returning Vranjska Banja on the tourist map. Pčinja District will offer top of the line hotel services that will be able to meet the needs and requirements of both local and foreign tourists.
