The company Millennium Team made a donation to Serbian Mine Action Centre, thanks to which construction work was carried out on the facility in Velika Moštanica. With the works carried out by Millennium Team, a part of the main building was adapted, transforming the space of almost 300 m2 into an educational park.
The ceremonial opening of SMAC’s innovative and educational park was attended by Miloš Vučević, Vice President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Defense, Bratislav Gašić, Minister of Internal Affairs, Bojan Glamočlija, Director of Mine Action Centre, Vuk Radović Director of Millennium Team’s Department for Demining, representatives of embassies and other government officials.
The adaptation of the main building carried out by Millennium Team included the renovation of the facade, as well as the interior carpentry. Complete sub-laying and assembly works were carried out, which provided a completely new visual and thermal comfort, and the offices and training rooms were transformed into a modern and bright space, pleasant for work.
The Training and Test Center – SMAC’s innovative-educational park in Velika Moštanica, next to the main facility, which will from now on be used for education and training, as well as training in the field of mine countermeasures in accordance with international standards, will use 16 facilities located on 3 hectares.
Through various activities, initiating and supporting the implementation of socially responsible projects, Millennium Team strives to provide support to the environment in which it operates, all with the aim of creating lasting value.
As part of the ceremonial opening of the Training and Test Center, Millennium Team’s Department for Humanitarian Demining organized a presentation of its equipment and machines that are used to perform the work. In its many years of experience, as well as a large number of references, Millennium Team has so far surveyed more than 37,000,000.00 m2 of terrain.
Millennium Team has 3 remote control machines that represent the most modern equipment for this type of work, and two of the three were displayed for the visitors, namely the MV-10 robotic systems and PT-300. Both machines are remotely operated, so one of our trained deminers is sufficient to operate them remotely, which increases efficiency and allows for testing of large areas.
Apart from these grandiose machines, Millennium Team also has the most modern equipment that distinguishes the company on the market as a leader in humanitarian demining: 12 systems for depth imaging, 60 detectors for demining to 0.50m of depth.
Millennium Team has many years of experience in performing the most complex jobs in this area in Serbia and the region.
Some of the benefits of demining represent an increase in people’s safety, as the removal of unexploded ordnance (UXO) prevents potential risks to the life and health of citizens and enables the implementation of infrastructure and economic projects.
